Privacy Policy
Effective July 18, 2026
Backline (“we”, “us”) is an independent artist rights and AI-licensing collective. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect
When you register through our sign-up form, we collect the artist or band name, email address, and Spotify or Apple Music profile link you provide, plus the label or distributor name if you choose to enter one. We do not collect passwords, and we do not currently require an account to register.
The status checker
The tool at /status that classifies your label or distributor runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not transmitted to us or stored anywhere — it is only used to produce the result shown to you on screen.
How we use your information
We use registration information to manually verify each entry before it is added to the public count, and to contact you about the status of your registration. We do not sell your information to third parties.
What the public count shows
The public counter displays a running total of verified registrations. It does not publish your name, email, or any other personal details — only the number itself is public.
Where your information is stored
Registration form submissions are processed and stored using Framer’s built-in form infrastructure. Framer’s own privacy policy governs how they handle that data on our behalf.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted at any time. We do not yet have a dedicated contact channel published on this site — until we do, requests can be made through whatever contact details you provide at registration.
Cookies
This site is hosted on Framer and may use the standard functional cookies Framer applies to all sites it hosts. We do not run our own third-party advertising or tracking scripts.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
